Creative camera use
In our music video we used a number of visual effects to create the chosen influences tone 'Paranormal activity'. In our shots signifying a mysterious occurance we added a 'radial blur' to the shot to create an eery feel. 
Another effect we created through creative camera use was through the use of editing. This creative camera use is when the girl is sitting on a chair and then disapears. We created this by filming the chair with the girl and without the girl and then edited the two together. The shots came out perfectly and the editing creates a sudden disapearance.
When creating the ghostly figure we used blurring tools to create a mysterious atmosphere.

Rejected Footage
Here are some of the shots we decided to reject and not use in our music video. As a group we were cautious of filming shots for the correct amount of time. However, when creating our ghostly figure we wasted footage filming the wall for to long and this footage was then not needed for our final music video.

The reason we decided to reject this shot, was due to the lack of eye contact shown in the shot. The shot was meant to be placed originally at the beginning of the music video highlighting our paranormal activity influence. I feel we should have used this shot anyway to highlight this.

Digipack
In these two flatplans, I felt that I would look at promoting 'The Montagues' digipack through placing pictures of the band members on the front and inside of the digipack to appeal to their fan base.
I wanted my digpack to be slightly eery and peircing creating an impact. The flat plan above is the front flatplan and below is the bottom flatplan, although both simple, the images I have used mirror 'The Montagues' indie rock style through the use of the instruments and the bold statements. The front image of the girl, is an idea I was influenced by due to one of our influences 'Paranormal activity' and shows the girls fear of the ghostly figure.

With the three sketches I created for my digipack, I wanted to create a bold digipack that would stand out to the chosen target audience. This first flat plan is of an idea for a front cover, the scary house reflects our influence Paranormal activity. This image also reflects 'The Montagues' genre as horror styles are in 'Foo Fighters' promo packs. The inside with the guitarist, reflects the genre 'indie rock' and creates a laid back feel to the target audience.

Health and Safety

Storyboard and Animatic
The video, relies on the girls reaction to the mysterious events, to create the eery tone of the video and the parnormal activity influence. We desired a close up of this reaction to create this. 
We wanted to include shots of the whole band playing to create an impact. This shot would be a mid shot with everyone in view. 
Each of the choices made by our group about camera movement, shot types, angles and editing were significant to us as a group. The opening shot was a significant shot in creating the tone of the video. We decided to use a mid shot to establish the characters and have the camera pointing towards the mirror to create some familarity. We decided to have a range of shots of the guitar close up to create an 'indie rock' feel. These shots would range from close up to mid shots so that the viewer can see the artist playing. Props-To make our house scenes realistic we will film everyday routines. We will film the main girl character applying nail varnish to fit the realistic tone.
To make the video realistic and attract our chosen target audience we will use props such as a mic stand, guitar and drum kit when filming the band playing.
Make up: The girls make up in the house scenes will be quite natural to fit the fact that the scenes are everyday house scenes. However, dark eye make up will be worn to add a slight edge to the character and fit the indie rock target audience.
Costume, a black playsuit will be casual worn with tights and a cardigan, however, the classic black fits in with the alternative rock genre and so does the casual attire. The male character will wear skinny jeans and a black t shirt a slightly rock look to fit the genre. However, both characters will be dressed casually and reguarly to express that the video is filmed in a everyday house. The band members will wear similar attire to the male character, black t shirts, skinny jeans etc to express their image.
Setting/Location- Our setting will be a house, the reason for this is because our main influence is Paranormal activity which is also set in a house where mysterious things occur. We will also set our band shots in a music room in Lewes. The basic music room will emphasise the bands genre as the musical instruments will be made apparent, the bands energy will also be addressed. The use of the music room will enable the target audience to view the band performing.
